SAM’s Collector’s Roadshow runs alongside the Collector/Collected exhibition currently on show at SAM, which showcases two major collections of Australian studio pottery from the 1960s and 70s: The Studio Pottery from the John Nixon Collection and SAM’s own collection from this period. These collections are presented alongside the work of four contemporary artists who each explore ideas of collecting and collections.
SAM’s Collector’s Roadshow invites visitors to discover the value of their treasures. Bookings are essential through Eventbrite and there is a fee of $10 for up to three items. All proceeds will support SAM’s acquisitions and the museum’s collection. Book here.
