We are very excited to announce that we have raised more than $300,000 to be donated directly to the communities that need it most, through the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
Since our announcement, support for this event has been overwhelming. We would like to sincerely thank all of our fantastic donors, sponsors, bidders and everyone who attended the event or watched at home, for your heartfelt generosity and enthusiasm. Your contributions and support brought the evening to life and made the event a huge success.
This event saw us join forces with prominent figures from Melbourne’s art world and beyond to present The Bushfire Relief Auction. The auction included extraordinary donations from artists, collectors, gallerists and jewellers and took place in Melbourne on Sunday 16 February. There was no buyer’s premium, with every cent going to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
We at Leonard Joel are proud to have been able to provide the art-industry platform to raise this incredible amount for communities affected by these unprecedented fires.
