We are thrilled to announce that yesterday’s fundraising auction, “The Day We All Went Home”, with no fees and no buyer’s premium, raised a total of $46,435 for Arts Project Australia, an important organisation promoting artists with an intellectual disability that Leonard Joel has worked closely with over the last 10 years.
Through presenting these diverse and dynamic works, we reflected on Saturday 16 March: the day that the Arts Project Australia studio and gallery closed and 150 artists were asked to stay home due to Covid-19.
We would like to sincerely thank our generous and enthusiastic bidders, our broader community and our online bidding partner Invaluable, for making this event a success, providing support to a unique Melbourne organisation and to the 150 artists for whom it serves as an important sanctuary.
